Game 1. 4 on 4 halfcourt. 15-7
Chris, Chi, "Father", Black versus Bill, I, Steve, Black
Chris on I. Chi on Steve. "Father" on Bill. Black on Black. Vice versa.
I posted up Chris really well, but he could have just not been playing seriously. Anyway, he wasnt really scoring or attempting to. Bill scored the most points because he could really take advantage of the mismatch. I made the last shot, a long 3 pointer. However, I thought that was the beginning of Game 2, as I wasnt really concerned with score. Bill was MVP.
Game 2. 4 on 4 halfcourt. 15-13
Chris, Chi, "Father", Black versus Bill, I, Steve, Black
Chris on I. Chi on Steve. "Father" on Bill. Black on Black. Vice versa.
Again I effectively posted Chris up and Bill took advantage of the mismatch. Our team were really shooting. I hit 3 3 pointers. Bill and Steve hit 3 pointers. However, Chi missed all his 3 pointers. One of my 3 pointer was the game ender. I was MVP.
Game 3. 5 on 5. 15-14
Chris, I, "Daddy", Chi, Bill versus Michael, Charles, John, Kenny, Steve
Mike wanted these teams although I mentioned captains.
Chris on John. Chi on Mike. I on Kenny. Bill on Steve. "Daddy" on Charles.
Bill and I both made a steal when Mikes team inbounded the ball, and used that opportunity to score on a fast break. We were really up, leading by 5 but then they came back. Kenny hit a 3 pointer off me when I let him. However, "Dad" made a no fear 3 pointer on a fast break to seal the game, while I and two defenders were the only people under the basket.
Game 4. 5 on 5. 15-12
Chris, I, Mike, Charles, John versus Joseph, Pablo, Jose, Steve, Josephs friend
Bill and Chi left, presumably because they were too tired. Charles was making fun of Chriss black underwear, saying that they are for girls. One common scene while playing basketball is people with their shorts a little sagging down and their underwear label sticking out.
Chris on Steve. Mike on Joseph. I on Jose. John on Pablo. Charles on Josephs friend.
Pablo on Chris. Steve on John.
During the first few points we had cuts and pick and rolls between Chris and Mike. Chris missed an easy lay-up when clear in the open. While I was on a fast break I planned to drive in but I heard Chris telling me to shoot it. At that time I jumped immediately, even though I was not in a position to shoot a 3. I did a pump and managed to shoot a 3 pointer to seal the game.
Game 5. 5 on 5. 10-15
Chris, I, Mike, Charles, John versus Joseph, Pablo, Kenny, Steve, Josephs friend
Chris on Steve. Mike on Joseph. I on Jose. John on Pablo. Charles on Josephs friend.
Pablo on Chris. Steve on John.
Charles and John were messing around because we won the previous game pretty easily. John made many turnovers through butterfingers and lack of movement. Charles missed so many shots. Even Mike messed around doing a stupid hook shot twice. They were really serious on offense. Steve made one 3 pointer, something he rarely attempts. They had many fast breaks, especially with Pablo who scored a lot. On one fast break Pablo was dribbling down and Chris told me to double team but I was afraid of Kenny getting pass although Chris was there. I didnt and Pablo scored. Another time I wasnt concentrating on a double team and Pablo quickly drove by me. Pablo was MVP.
Game 6. 5 on 5. 15-13
Chris, I, Mike, Charles, John versus Joseph, Pablo, Kenny, Steve, Josephs friend
Chris on Steve. Mike on Joseph. I on Jose. John on Pablo. Charles on Josephs friend.
Pablo on Chris. Steve on John.
Everyone played more seriously this game because it was the last one. I remember I messed up Kenny on one play. I gave him a fake on the 3 pointer line and Ken jumped very high so I drove by him for a lay-up. Mike made one 3 pointer, which isnt usual anymore. I could have sealed the game with a 3 pointer on a fast break. (It luckily hit off the backboard). However there was a controversial call that I stepped on the line and I do not know if I did. Chris made a turn-around after a perfect pick and roll with Charles for the game winner.
NOTES: The blacks werent good players at all because they kept on missing and doing stupid stuff. They also thought they were good... Chi wasnt exactly doing that well because his shot wasnt going in. For Game 4-6, Charles and Mike had many fast breaks, as they were looming more on the offensive side. Also Chris and Mike produced lots of great cuts. Chris and I kept going back on defense while most of our teammates were slow in doing so. Mike missed all but one 3 pointer. Joseph really messed up his whole team because he refused to pass the ball even when triple teamed. He just forced the shot. However he did make a lot of shots, but then missed a lot too. Josephs friend wasnt really that good, and there was a matchup problem against Charles. Game 4 and 6 did not have a clear MVP because Mike and Chris were really at it on offense and I made big shots. I normally dont pump the ball but I did that in Game 4, but it just felt natural. I think Im hitting a lot of daggers, as shown today where I hit a 2.5 (0.5 from Game 6 where I stepped on the line, maybe) 3 pointers out of six games. Chris had told me a lot that I should come down to the offensive side of the court more rather than stay at the half court line. I do that to prevent fast breaks and to receive a pass whenever someone is in trouble. Also, I could get open to shoot a 3 pointer. However I have to work on my driving game a lot more. I think Chris is right and I should help out of offense.
